Nat Johnson’s wanderlust began at a very young age during a family trip through the American West. Originally from the Washington, D.C., area, Nat has lived in Williamsburg, VA, where he earned a B.S. in Psychology from The College of William and Mary; Milledgeville, GA, where he completed his M.Ed. in Outdoor Education Administration from Georgia College and State University; Lahaina, HI, where he built, inspected, and taught others how to facilitate challenge/ropes courses and zip lines; and in Louisville, KY, where he currently resides and works in the Experiential Education field. Nathaniel's first summer as a VISIONS staff leader was 2010 for two program sessions in the British Virgin Islands.

Through travel for work and vacationing, Nat has been to 45 of the 50 United States and 17 other countries around the world. While in Montana this summer he just might have the opportunity to cross over into North or South Dakota, thus checking at least one other state off his list!

On the rare occasions Nat is at home in Louisville, he loves working in his garden, reading, rock climbing, and building furniture. Nat could not be more excited to spend another summer with VISIONS--this time around in Montana.
