Lucy's son, Jahir Sanchez, Recovering from Accident

Many members of the VISIONS community already know about Jahir Sanchez' accident last August (Jahir is the 17-year-old son of our longtime cook in Peru, Lucila Sanchez Bossio - Lucy to us.) Jahir was leaning on the balcony railing of their second-story home in Urubamba when the railing collapsed; he fell to the cobblestone street below, landing on his head. He has been in a coma ever since. Surgery went well, and his surgeon hopes that Jahir's youth will increase his odds for recovery. Recently, he began moving his head and neck, and opening his eyes, although he remains unconscious. Lucy, her husband Max, other family and friends, have had two successful fundraisers so far to offset medical bills. If you would like to help offset the medical expenses, please call or email us at www.VisionsServiceAdventures.com for information. We extend Lucy's special thanks and ours to all of you who already contributed to medical expenses. We ask that you keep Jahir, Lucy and Max in your thoughts and prayers.
