A Teen Summer Adventure

Spending time abroad is always a learning experience. Seeing places, people, and cultures that are so utterly different from our own is sometimes inspiring and always educational. Though travelling is always a moving experience, it is even more inspiring and life altering when one chooses to live and work in a community abroad. There is absolutely nothing like waking up every morning and going to sleep every night in a small village half way across the world. Visions is looking for teens who want to spend their summer vacation embarking on the adventure of a lifetime. We offer teen volunteer opportunities for people who are ready to make a difference in other people’s lives as well as their own.

Most teens spend their summers catching up on summer movies and reading, hanging out with friends, working local jobs, and perhaps going on vacation with their family. While all of these activities are perfectly normal, Visions challenges teens to look beyond the norm. We run teen summer travel camps that are service oriented. Basically, instead of spending your summer doing the same old routine in your home town, we invite you to spend a month working and playing in a village halfway around the world.

As a Vision team member, you will join a group of up to 25 teens from around the country. Over the next month, you will work with these teens in a town or community abroad. Your entire month is spent living and working in that community. You will learn more about another culture than you ever dreamed possible and make connections with people that will last a lifetime. Free time is spent embarking on short adventures to nearby cities and countryside.
