It was another amazing summer experience. It was a eye opener in many ways: living in a new culture, feeling vibrant music all the time, truly working for the good of the community...I loved how this particular program forced communication in Spanish with Dominicans. VISIONS was a great experience. I lived in a completely different world for one month, and I learned a lot. It’s always the same, but we realize that [impoverished] people give the most… They gave their hospitality and friendship from the start, with no judgment. Activities in the DR were great…it was a good mix between work and recreation.
